A smarter and more natural way to work… in BB10

cittanushowoff

Today we are releasing our first BlackBerry 10 product: Cittanu.

Cittanu is a smarter and more natural way to save and organize information, as it mimics the way your own brain does it: by associating it with each other.

Head over to the Cittanu product page to learn more about it and take a look at the screenshots.

It’s now available on AppWorld.

Introducing cArtlendar

how beautiful does your time look like?

Not everyone needs to have a boring square calendar to micro-manage all the events that take place during a lifetime.
What if a calendar reflected the way our mind stores and remembers information: visually!

cArtlendar is a new way to register, schedule and remember information.

With cArtlendar, not only you can express what’s on your mind in a more artistic way, you can also use blobs of color to represent certain activities, occupations or happenings. Use the week-view for a broader perspective into your timeline and have a quick feedback on how you are spending most of your time.

But, it’s really up to you. cArtlendar can also be used as a journal/diary to draw about the daily events.

And to inspire you further, cArtlendar comes with a few gorgeous themes. Check the screenshots.

PiggyBook is out and about!

PiggyBook, our first idea turned into reality, has just been approved in BlackBerry AppWorld. Get it from here »

What is PiggyBook?

PiggyBook is a whole new approach to easy personal finance management, to help you have control and perspective over your money, and don’t bother you with too much detail.

We are mainly visual beings, and often need to “see the picture” to have clearer understandings of a situation. PiggyBook is mostly visual, hidding all the boring transactions and letting you focus on a graph that shows and predicts your cash flow.

PiggyBook doesn’t care about the past. Only as little as to allow it to calculate future patterns. PiggyBook’s focus is on the future, allowing you to enter estimates income or expenses, predict future cash flows and simulate financial situations.

BlackBerry, our platform of choice

Due to its power, security, reliability, form factor, community and an outstanding development support, Research In Motion’s BlackBerry platform is the best choice to implement and run Bit Outside the Box’s projects.

Future availability for other platforms is a possibility, although not in a short-term future.

About Bit Outside the Box

What do habits, dogmas and preconceived ideas have in common? They all limit the expansion of our thoughts, confining it to the same old patterns and solutions.

The digital world is not free from such things. Most of today’s digital products are still being built based on ideas and limitations from many years ago.

How can we re-invent digital products? How would they look, behave and operate if we were re-imagining them from scratch, ignoring what has been done so far as if it was never invented before?

We are at a fantastic place in time to ask these questions. Today’s technology, available in tablets and other mobile devices, allows us to break free from some of this boxes, and aim for something refreshingly different.

That is the challenge. That is the mission.
